The trade off is that he seems to get some pretty good priority on his attacks (especially his sway->shoulder charge.) I'm not sure what to make of Marduk yet. Steve has promise but it's going to take some getting used to the distinct lack of kick attacks. I was mistaken it's 10 characters not 12.
#Tekken 4 airport how to#
There's actually an origami book (Jebus knows why this is in an origami book) out there somewhere that actually shows you how to wrap the cloth around your yourself in the appropriate manner.Īnyhoo, played it some more today so here are some more impressions: Schpyder has it right (and I'm not in the mood to look up the appropriate term either View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) and IMHO, calling it a loincloth is a good approximation. guide View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) I'll try to post more as I'll probably play some more tomorrow but at a buck a play it's going to take some time for me to get a real good feel for the game (much less try and write a new Xiaoyu strat. There is extra damage for bouncing someone off a wall or busting a stage object (a phone booth for example) but it's not excessive (maybe 3 or 4 pixels extra off the life bar). Gravity has been increased so no more 5 hit Xiaoyu juggles for me View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif I also assume this prevents uber-juggling from 'Bob'. Pretty much everyone looks pretty fly in TK4 except for Heihachi (who's the final boss at stage 8 BTW) who's got the sumo loincloth going Casual' with jeans, shirt and sunglasses, and Xiaoyu comes in either grey & red skater/club gear or in a floral pink dress with, er, glowing shoes. Everyone has new costumes Hwoarang (aka 'Bob' around these parts View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) gets to wear camo pants and a kevlar vest, Kazuya is 'Mr. IIRC it's 12 selectable characters to start with 12 more on time unlock. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but it does make the game feel less spazzy and more 'thoughtful' for lack of a better word. Pace seems a step slower than TTT or TK3. Allows you to get your back away from any nasty walls or breakable objects and/or try to back your opponent into those aforementioned walls or objects. Xiaoyu's P outfit has a short skirt that moves fairly realistically one of the levels has some very nice water effects and there's none of the eye-twisting parallax issues that all the other TKs had (of course this has a lot to do with the new walls.)

Graphics are a vast improvement over arcade TTT and a decent improvement IMHO over PS2 TTT. Smiley Face's release is also missing the extensive liner notes with composer notes and credits etc, packaged in the genuine product.Well, a Tekken 4 machine has magically appeared at my local arcade (Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor, MI) and while it's a buck a play (bastards View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif ) I did get to try it a few times so here are some impressions: However, the Smiley Face manufactured discs have the front cover image of Heihachi Mishima printed on them, while the genuine Japanese product pictures the TEKKEN 4 logo on both discs. "KA-029-30".This bootleg soundtrack has near identical music and near identical packaging (aside from the Smiley Face logo). Taiwanese company - "Smiley Face Records LTD", has mass-produced a bootleg version of this TEKKEN soundtrack under the product number (Track-5* is a "lite-remix" of it's original arcade counterpart, where as Track-12** is a re-arrangement)
